FAQs
Thank you for visiting Valérie Berta Photography's FAQ page. I am a French photographer, represented by an agency based in New York City and London, and I am now based in Columbia but available around the country.

Here you will find answers to most of your questions about my portraiture, life and animal photography business: how to set up a session, what to bring, what to expect and what you'll get out of it.

If you shouldn't find the answer to your particular query, however, please call, text or email.

How do we set up a photo session?
Simply call or text me.
What do we get when we hire you to take pictures of us?
- Experience: I have years of photography experience and experience around the world. When you hire me you can be sure you have never looked so good.
- Passion: I love photography, I love people and I love animals. I love telling your story, too, and it will show in your pictures.
- Vision: Each session is tailored around you, and my pictures will be as unique as you. By hiring me you'll become a work of art.
What happens after we hire you?
We will schedule a pre-shoot consultation so I can get to know you and your family and start working on how to capture that.  We can meet at your home or at any other location that is suitable for you. At that consultation, I will also tell you all about my business and my photo sessions so there are no surprises down the road.
So, what's in a photo session?
After our initial meeting, we'll have a better idea of what you want for pictures and we'll plan a photo session around that at up to two locations of your choice. The photo sessions can last up to two hours. It's that easy, and it's all about you.
What should we bring to our portrait session?
Yourself. And up to three changes of wardrobe, if that's what you'd like.
What should we bring to our animal photo session?
You can bring any toys your pets particularly like, but I can also bring a variety of pet toys and goodies for you to choose from, so don't worry and just have fun watching your animals be themselves.
How about the weather?
Don't worry if it happens to rain on your special day, we'll just reschedule. If you or your animals feel under the weather, or anything else comes up and you can't make it to the session, just let me know as soon as you can, within 24 hours of the booked session, and we'll work together to find a time that's good for all of us. All I want is the best possible photographs, and for you to have the time of your life watching it all happen.
Your pictures should be fun to make and beautiful to look at, for all of you.
When can we see the photos?
Usually within a week of the photo session, and for two weeks after that, you will be able to choose your photos online via a private gallery set up just for you. You'll then get a flash drive with your final choice of pictures on it, and you'll also have the possibility of ordering pre-cropped, low-resolution images to share with your friends and family online at no additional cost. I'll provide the password, you just relax and enjoy the show.
How about ordering prints?
From your online private gallery, you can order photo products of your favorite images from my product line. Pick your favorite images and call or email me to order prints, gallery wrapped canvas prints, personalized gift cards, and coffee table books. Personalized and seasonal prints and cards, gift boxes, bookmarks, fridge magnets and much more are also available, so be sure to ask for details.
You, your family and your animals are worth memories as unique as they are.
What happens after all that jazz?
Nothing. Just enjoy seeing that you have never looked so good and knowing that the possibilities are endless when it comes to ordering more prints and products, forever.
