Christina searches through a plastic bag full of clothes as her three children, Destiny, 6, Ronald, 11, and David, 3, wake up in the San Bernardino, California motel room the family calls home. The city temporarily put them up in a motel after a fire killing four people ravaged the previous motel at which they had stayed. The family, who had been homeless for six months before the fire, is hoping to get back on their feet and start a new life. Both Christina and her girlfriend, Priscilla, are recovering from drug addiction.
