A Mexican boy waits for his first day of school to start. Children of Mexican immigrants have grown to make up a large part of the student body in the town’s previously all-white school system and are now a majority on the waiting list for kindergartens. The schools have had to adapt quickly, if not haphazardly, and a new building is now under construction to accommodate the increased student population.
