Setting up the circus is a twice-weekly operation involving nothing but brute force. Seating roughly 1600 people, the tent totals more than 16,000 square feet and has to be raised and pulled from a truck, along with the wooden boards, metal frame, seats and electrical equipment that make up the circus. All that is done in less than five hours by the 30-some crew, only to be taken down and apart again a couple of days later.
